Penny was brought to us from a shelter in Vernal. She'd been there long enough that she was in danger of being euthanized.  From the photos she appeared to be a purebred Sheltie.  It wasn't until we met her in person and got to watch her behaviors that we realized that as much as she looks like a Sheltie she's really a mix.  I think she's a really nice mix.  She seems to have some Border Collie type behaviors without the Border Collie intensity.  Penny is a very smart girl, very sweet, and would love to lay next to you on the couch and cuddle with you in bed.

Penny has a habit of creeping up the side of your body, step by step, by putting her paws on you very lightly and gently moving her head up towards yours...she wants to be face to face and give kisses.

Penny wanted to visit with a miniature horse named Spider, in another pen at her foster Mom's house.  Although her foster parents thought they had the horse in a secure enclosure...Penny figured out a way to sneak in and visit with Spider.  As long as Penny could herd Spider around his pen she was happy.  When Spider decided to chase her, Penny was done playing with him!

Any challenges that Penny presents will be due to her being a very, very intelligent girl with a creative streak that could get her into trouble.  She would do well in an active household and/or being involved in activities like hiking.  Her antics at her foster Mom's home have earned her the nickname of Penne Pasta!

Penny has all her vaccinations, a microchip, she's heartworm tested, wormed, and spayed.  Her adoption fee is $250.00.  We'll have more photos and video soon.
