This playful Border Collie is Jazz. He was found wandering the streets by a jogger – Jazz happily herded the jogger back to his home. The jogger took Jazz to a vet to be scanned for a microchip, which he has. The microchip was registered to a different vet in the Salt Lake valley, whom the jogger immediately called. That vet reported that Jazz "ran away" from his owner three or four months ago, and the owner said that he "replaced the dog" and doesn't want Jazz back!
Jazz was in such good shape when he was found, it seems likely that he had received care during the months when he was "missing'. That former owner claimed that Jazz was an escape artist, but his current foster family says that they have had no problems with him at all.
Jazz is a neutered mail, tri-color, and weighs between 30 and 35 pounds. He has a great disposition and is very playful. He likes to hide beneath things if he's not getting attention. Jazz seems to have no problem with other dogs, except that he tries to keep them away from "his person". He can play rough but will quickly learn when (or if) that is appropriate. He has had some training and knows at least the commands "sit" and "load up" (to get into the car).
