This is Harley James. He is a beautiful 4 year-old Sheltie Boy who is full of love and a strong desire to please. He loves to go running, for walks, rides in the car, shopping at the pet store, or just sit on your lap and get a nice ear rub. He is very well behaved in the home. He is house trained he does not get on the furniture, chew or destroy anything. Just like most Shelties, Harley is very social. He loves to be with people. He loves to be around children, other dogs, and of course the ladies!
Harley has had a traumatic experience some time in his short life, and tends to have severe anxiety with most men. The ideal home for Harley would be, one in which there are no men living there.
Harley thought he'd found his forever home but it turned out not to be so.  The senior Sheltie male who had lived with the adopting family since he was a puppy, was very unhappy with the arrival of Harley.  He was so unhappy that he became aggressive towards Harley until they now have to keep the boys separated at various times to avoid injuries.  Harley was not neutered when he arrived at this household and this may have contributed significantly to this problem.  Harley is now neutered.  It's only been a few months since Harley was neutered.  To another male dog, Harley may well still smell like an unneutered dog and could potentially evoke a similar response.  We want to find Harley's REAL forever home where he and we can be as certain as possible that he will find his permanent, loving, niche.

Harley has been neutered, and micro-chipped. He is current on all shots, and had his dental cleaning done in November. He is currently eating Blue Buffalo Dog food.
