Jackie O.
Jackie O. was a very small, 3 year old (when she came to us in early 2007) Sheltie-girl who had been required to live outside for all three years of her young life. She's an adorable tri-color Sheltie, became potty trained very quickly, and is bright, friendly, loves to play, LOVES to cuddle, and would also love to share any food you're eating (don't let her!). Her owner turned her over to Sheltie Rescue because they really had no interest in her (unbelievable, but true). Now, Jacki-O is discovering life indoors with people who love to cuddle back, talk to her, scratch her ears, and snuggle in bed, and she's loving it all!
It took no time at all for a wonderful couple from northern California to contact us to ask if we'd consider letting them drive to Utah to meet Jackie. As it happened, we were going to be in Oregon very shortly after that, so we asked them to meet us in Oregon, loaded Jackie up into the car, and drive west. This lovely couple met us in Oregon as planned, feel instantly and deeply in love with Jackie — who returned the emotions completely — and adopted her on the spot. Sigh...another lovely success story!!
